To Our Neighboorhood

In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells his disciples that they will be witnesses to Him in “Jerusalem.” Our “Jerusalem” includes several areas of focus.

  1. We have a responsibility as a church to let our light shine (Matthew 5:13-16) to the neighborhoods around us, as well as to the whole town of Algood, in which our church building resides.
  2. We especially desire to minister to the Algood Schools and Masters Nursing Home.
  3. The Grace Service Squad is committed to loving our neighbors in very tangible ways. Old, middle aged, and young, we desire to serve those in need. For more information, contact Ian Robson or Andrew Martin.
  4. Each of our members has a particular town and neighborhood in which they live, and so we are individually responsible to love our neighbors (Luke 10:25-37) and seek the welfare of the various cities to which God has called us (Jeremiah 29:4-7): Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, Monterey, Gainesboro, Livingston, Smithville, Sparta, Spencer, and all the counties in which these towns lie. As we work, play, eat, etc., we desire to be a people committed to doing good deeds that meet pressing needs (Titus 3:1-8).
